Scale rolling grasslands to quality views on Black Mountain, a journey featuring trail variety and native plant diversity. Cap the hike by relaxing along the shaded riparian corridor of serene Stevens Creek. Already an isolated wilderness adventure, you can extend this hike into a backpack trip by venturing into neighboring Upper Stevens Creek County Park. Mountain bikers are allowed on all but Stevens Creek Nature Trail.

Arastradero Lake and Meadowlark Trail
Small, manmade lakes don�t take long to exhibit natural lake traits and beauty. Such is the case with Arastradero Lake, encased in rolling grasslands and majestic oaks of foothill ranchlands. Follow polite Arastradero Creek for half the hike, and then wander up a grassy hillside to explore the scattered oaks and gain views of imposing Black Mountain to the southwest.
